ExpressionEngine

These are some of our projects. We also built our own website and some for clients and friends on WordPress.

Backcountry Kitchen by Yamnuska

Yamnuska Mountain Adventures has been offering guiding services for 35 years and they know how important it is a good meal for the success of your expedition or day out. Based on this experience, they created the Backcountry Kitchen division of their company and now offers specific meals, menus and packaging that works for all kinds of wilderness and backcountry trips.  They cook their meals from scratch on their small kitchen in Canmore, AB, dehydrating and packing them, paying special attention to nutritional content and calories. The result is a tasty and with no preservatives added dehydrated food ideal to be cooked and consumed in the backcountry.

To feature their product, we created a website using ExpressionEngine and hosted on EngineHosting. Robert K. Foster was the developer and we used CarThrob e-commerce for the store.

The Upper Class

https://theupperclass.net/ – this one is not just another project as it ended up being the last web project of Ricardo Barcellos, our partner and designer, who passed away on Jan 5th, 2013, at home, after living with pancreatic cancer for more than 2 years.

Robert K. Foster did the coding for this beautiful website and we are finalizing the Peak 15 integration.

The Upper Class

Ricardo’s last web design.

Tourism Canmore Kananaskis

We needed just 10 days to put the Tourism Canmore Kananaskis project online. Record time thanks to our fabulous team: Ricardo Barcellos/Artmann Communications, designer, and Robert K. Foster, programmer. The client wanted the new website to be aligned with the new branding and both were launched the same day. So we incorporated the same images, tagline and elements of the branding on the website. We built it on top of ExpressionEngine, our CMS of choice. Some features include social media integration, photo channel, search, rss feed, a member directory and some SEO strategy implementation. Artmann Communications were responsible for the project management, training and website maintenance.

Canadian Rockies Hiking

Canadian Rockies Hiking’s new website offers a clean design and an easy-to-use navigation, following its sister brand, Yamnuska, on placement, navigation and usability. It was built on top of ExpressionEngine, coded by Windjammer Company LLC, designed by Ricardo Barcellos/Artmann Communications, and hosted with EngineHosting.  Some features include a booking system and a calendar integrated with Peak 15, a tour operator software,  social media links, video channel, photo channel, search, rss feed and some SEO strategy implementation. Artmann Communications were responsible for the project management, training and website maintenance.
